Mario asked about us, the developers, so I figured that I'd make a thread where everybody can introduce him-/herself.

So, I've been born 1980 in Finland and have lived here happily ever since. I'm currently employed in IT sector and studying for MSc degree in University of Helsinki, department of computer science. For studies, I'd only need master's thesis but haven't had time for doing it. My studies have been stalled quite a long now ;)

Most of my freetime is spent with my girlfriend, cars, partying with friends in weekends, climbing indoors or rock climbing outdoors and, finally, developing BE.

My page in irc galleria (biggest finnish online community):

Pictures of my car 1) as it arrived from the US in spring 2005 and 2+3) after last winther's project. This is the only USDM mkiv supra that has been imported to finland:

Too bad I haven't got any decent rock climbing pictures in the net... well I'll post a link here if I manage to find and upload them somewhere.

Hi,

I'm one of the creators of Bowling Evolution, 26 years old and live in Espoo, Finland. I also work in the IT industry. I studied Software Business and Engineering in Helsinki University of Technology and got my master's degree last year. Topic of my master's thesis was "Game development based on open source software components", and I used development of Bowling Evolution as a case-study.

Climbing is my hobby as well and of course spending time with my girlfriend. Here's a picture of my climbing and another one of Tomi abseiling.

I was a rock climber but stopped after the gym I climbed at closed; and I live no where near any mountains; Though I did climb out in California when I was got there 5 years ago.

I was a chess player back in high school; but I am not good enough for the USCF so I stopped playing competitively.

I am a big computer geek, about the only thing I don't know is programming.
I am basically a master magician, I developed a version of the Russian Roulette illusion and well perform it once I get a 6-shot revolver. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylAHWVuPNus is basically what my trick well look like; but I change a few things about it. I have based most of my act off of the works of Derren Brown. This is unusual because I am an American and Derren is British,

I well graduate college in May with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Hello, my name is Thomas. I live in Illinois. I am 18(19 on Tuesday). I am currently going to school to become a golf course superintendent. I have been around the profession my entire life because of my father. In my free time, I play alot of golf and I bowl. I started bowling roughly a year ago and since then become addicted to it. I try to bowl atleast twice a week(not including league.)

Sweet Supra you got there Tomi.

I am 31 years old (32 on Sat.). I'm from Jerome, Pennsylvania which none of you ever heard of, I'm sure. It's a very very small town in the middle of nowhere (cows and trees buddy). I'm married with 2 kids, 12 year old boy, and a girl that turned 1 on halloween. I love aviation and flying planes. I am going back to Penn State to finish my business mgmt. degree. Right now I work on a dairy farm near my house. I'm also in the U.S. Air Force Reserves where I refuel planes and work in fuels. I started league bowling at 13 and continued until I was about 26, but then didn't have much time for it. I still bowl non-competitively, but I'm gonna start getting back into some leagues and tournys. I bolong to a local Mennonite Church. I play music (Southern Rock, Blues, Older Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Gospel). I also fish and hunt a lot. I love any kind of racing (especially Sprint Cars), I'm a Jimmy Johnson and Earnhardt Jr. fan in Nextel.

Hey fellow BE'ers... (if anyone still reads this forum post)...I'm Chico, and I'm from the USA, and have been bowling for 30 years. I study the game's nuances, and take pride in the fact that I have an amazing physical game. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_cNStfDNbt7NKyOcjnYVXg <~~ Link takes you to my Youtube page with videos of me bowling.

I play Bowling Evolution every single day, and reach the top of the rankings last year before my subscription ran out. I want to be able to play this game using my XBox controller connected to my PC, but I settle for a wireless trackpad and a 55" TV Screen.

I hope to play more versions of this wonderful game.

I've used this guide to make scaled-down replicas of bowling lanes for my son to play with. I think it can easily be translated into BE for maximum effectiveness. I agree with Mastertech in using the specs of the pindeck/sidewalls/pin cushion/pit floor to achieve proper pin action.

MasterTech wrote
Anyone participating in further development of Bowling Evolution should consider modelling the lane (especially the back end) after the official USBC specifications at this link:
http://usbcongress.http.internapcdn.net/usbcongress/bowl/equipandspecs/pdfs/2010-equip-and-specs-manual.pdf
You'll need a .pdf reader to view the manual. A better lane back end would go a long way toward improving ball AND pin action
